Revitalise: 101 is a renovation project on a recently vacated drug den for conversion to a community arts and project space @101 Digger St
Like all self generative forms, Revitalise 101 with find its own path, it's own pattern and rate of growth. It is in observing as much as possible the natural mathematics involved in collaborative creativity in transient spaces.
For the Digger Street Community, it represents another space full of possibilities, however it is not our role to say what it should be. With 101 we want to learn how we can better engage and enable our neighbours to take an interest in developing a space that we can all enjoy while still fulfilling the primary obligations to the landlord and utility companies.
Can we experiment again with 101 like we are with T-House and continue the pursuit of the neighbourhood funded neighbourhood house through two houses.
So if we can take a crackhouse and document the way we have halted it's decline, re-engaged it in a different future, where a poorly run down house can still have many years good use as a neighbourhood house, then hopefully whether we make it or not, you will have the benefit of our experience
It is about observing and documenting the process and sharing the results.
